So, what exactly are the names of the SEVEN hotels that are in the Disney Springs AREA — that is, hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd which are within walking distant to Disney Springs (aka as Downtown Disney to us old timers).
The great thing about all these hotels/resorts is their proximately to Disney Springs and they each have decent transportation to the theme parks — but most of all, they are far more affordable than staying in at a Disney Resort. You won’t get charging privileges on your magic band, and you don’t get Extra Magic Hours, however. Still, a great deal for a family on a budget.
Here’s the listing:
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort Area — I stayed here way back in the 90s when it was called the Grosvenor Resort. It then changed hands and was called the Regal Sun Resort. It’s now a Wyndham and from all looks of things is a nice resort and very close to Disney Springs.
Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area
Buena Vista Palace
Best Western Lake Buena Vista — we had a conference here one year. Seems like a nice place. It’s a longer walk to Disney Springs, but still doable.
DoubleTree Suites by Hilton — these are all suites and therefore accommodate up to six people — great for families.
Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista — very nice appearance from the outside and very close to Disney Springs.
B Resort & Spa — this use to be the Royal Plaza Hotel. However, the new owners nearly tore the entire building down and started all over. It looks lovely now.
I’m planning a stay at Saratoga Springs in a few weeks — I’m hoping to go resort hopping on Hotel Plaza and take lots of pictures — stop back in a few weeks for an update. 🙂
